The Lord-Lieutenant, at the invitation of the Tatton Garden Society, has planted a tree for The Queen’s Green Canopy at The Lovell Quinta Arboretum in Swettenham.

Jeannie France-Hayhurst has been installed as the High Sheriff of Cheshire 2022-23 at a ceremony held at St Boniface Church, Bunbury.

The Lord-Lieutenant attended a Reception at St James’s Palace on 31 March to mark the end of the first tree-planting season of the Queen’s Green Canopy (QGC). Planting will now be paused until October, and in the meantime QGC will move into a conservation phase to unveil 70 Ancient Woodlands and 70 Ancient Trees. 

The Lord-Lieutenant has attended Girlguiding Cheshire Border’s annual Thanks and Recognition Event held in Macclesfield.

The Lord-Lieutenant attended the Cheshire Magistrates All-Bench Meeting on 17 March and presented 10-Year, 20-Year and 30-Year Long Service Certificates.

The Lord-Lieutenant recently presented 24 Awards to RAF Air Cadets at the Staffordshire Wing RAFAC North Sector Presentation Evening held at Congleton Town Hall.

The Lord-Lieutenant attended a Service at St John The Baptist Church, Chester on 6 February to mark the 70th Anniversary of Her Majesty The Queen’s Accession to the Throne.

The Lord-Lieutenant laid a wreath at the War Memorial in Nantwich on Holly Holy Day – being the 50th anniversary of the association between Nantwich and the Sealed Knot Society in remembrance of the Siege and Battle of Nantwich (Winter 1643/25th January, 1644).
