The Lord-Lieutenant attended the Armistice Day event in Chester on 11 November and the Crewe Remembrance Sunday Service/Parade the following day. Deputy Lieutenants were present at the following locations on Remembrance Sunday: Alderley Edge, Alsager, Chester, Congleton, Ellesmere Port, Frodsham, Knutsford, Macclesfield, Middlewich, Nantwich, Neston, Northwich, Poynton, Runcorn, Sandbach, Warrington, Widnes, Wilmslow and Winsford.
At a ceremony held at Tatton Park, the Lord-Lieutenant has presented BEMs to the following, whose awards were announced as part of The King’s Birthday Honours 2023: Dorothy Dentith of Congleton, Heather Newton of Crewe, Laura Jane Newton-Harris and Terasa Newton-Harris of Ellesmere Port, and Kuldeep Singh Dhillon and Balbir Dhillon of Rixton, Warrington.
