The Lord-Lieutenant, Lady Redmond MBE, has officially unveiled the new Cenotaph at Congleton at a ceremony held on 19 September. 

The Lord-Lieutenant, on behalf of HM The Queen, has presented The Queen’s Award for Enterprise (International Trade) to Cobra Braiding Machinery Ltd of Congleton. The Company’s core business focus is the wire processing and wire harnessing market sector.  Over three years, overseas sales have grown on average by 53% per annum and exports now make up 95%

The closing date for Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service 2022 entries is 17 September 2021. The closing date for Queen’s Award for Enterprise 2022 entries has been extended to 22 September 2021.

It is with great sadness that we report the death of Nick Hopkinson, MBE, DL. Hoppy was appointed a Deputy Lieutenant in 2017 and was High Sheriff of Cheshire 2020-2021.

At Ceremonies held on 28 July at Tatton Park, the Lord-Lieutenant on behalf of HM The Queen presented Medals to 19 Cheshire residents whose names had been included in Honours Lists in 2020, and to two Cheshire Firefighters awarded The Queen’s Commendation for Bravery.
